Privacy Policy

Your privacy is critically important to us. At Bondaii we have a few fundamental principles:

  • We improve how you manage your personal information. So in terms of privacy, we are on your side – making you better off with Bondaii than without.
  • We don't ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. (We can't stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason.)
  • We don't share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don't store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services.
  • In our products, we aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control what's visible to the public, shared with specific groups, seen by search engines, kept private, and permanently deleted.

As passionate believers in the co-operative nature of our start-up world, we extend our thanks to the good folks at Automattic.com (creators of Wordpress and other legendary stuff) for sharing their quality privacy policy document under a CC-SA license. In turn we are doing the same - you're more than welcome to steal our Privacy Policy, which is a descendant of theirs modified for the mobile market, and repurpose it for your own use. Just make sure to replace references to us with ones to you. Or go to the original [http://automattic.com/privacy/] and use that. An attribution link on your website is always welcome.

If you have questions about accessing or correcting your personal data please contact our support team.

It is Bondaii's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our service.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Bondaii collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.

Bondaii's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Bondaii's visitors use its website. From time to time, Bondaii may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

Bondaii also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users. Bondaii only discloses logged in user IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Mobile Client Users

As an essential part of the Bondaii service, we backup and store the contact information from your mobile phone. We store this data on our secure servers, and encrypt all communication between servers and your phone with SSL. This way we secure your phone contacts even in case your phone is stolen or broken.

For your convenience, we store your login information on your phone, so that you don't have to type it time and time again. If your phone gets stolen, all you have to do to terminate that access is login from any other phone (your friend's phone, or your new phone). This will interrupt any existing connection from the stolen phone, and also require entering correct login information during next Bondaii client launch.

In order for this functionality to work, and to know when to synchronize contact data and when not, we need to identify individual mobile phones and their users. For this, as most other mobile-centric services, we record and store your mobile phone number, phone model, IMEI and other non-personally-identifying information when you login. We may from time to time contact you by SMS on your number, but never will do so to advertise; we might do this for example to let you know that an issue you have reported has been fixed, or that a native version for your phone model has been released.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to Bondaii's website and users of our mobile clients choose to interact with Bondaii in ways that require Bondaii to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Bondaii gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for our service to provide a username, email address and their mobile phone number. Those who engage in transactions with Bondaii – by purchasing premium services, for example – are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, Bondaii collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor's interaction with Bondaii. Bondaii does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain service-related activities.

Aggregated Statistics

Bondaii may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, Bondaii may monitor the most popular functions or use phone model metrics to help identify which models deserve native clients. Bondaii may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Bondaii does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

Bondaii discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Bondaii's behalf or to provide services available at Bondaii's websites and mobile clients, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Bondaii's websites and mobile clients, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Bondaii will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Bondaii discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena or court order, or when Bondaii believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Bondaii, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of a Bondaii service and have supplied your email address or mobile phone number, Bondaii may occasionally send you an email or a text message to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what's going on with Bondaii and our products. We primarily use our blogs and your dashboard to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum, and a text messages even less. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Bondaii takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
